Meet the Criminal Illegal Immigrant Who Killed Mother of 5, Rachel Morin of Maryland
His name is Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, and he is one of many who are here illegally and who have victimized US Citizens.
When I post articles about criminal illegal immigrants, I sometimes am accused of fear-mongering, demonizing, and, believe it or not, being xenophobic. In my response, I always emphasize the CRIMINAL part and remind the people challenging me that we have enough homegrown offenders; we don’t need additional thousands (or hundreds of thousands) of malefactors victimizing many more Americans.
And I want to make this perfectly clear: There is an obvious delineation between LEGAL vs ILLEGAL immigration. I do not conflate the two.
I am beyond frustrated by the number of people we have allowed to just walk right into our country, largely unvetted: estimates are between 7 and 10 million in the last 3-1/2 years. And that does NOT include the ones who have “gotten away”: THAT estimate is close to 2 million. The gotaways are the ones who absolutely do NOT want to get caught for whatever (read: nefarious) reason, and they terrify me the most. While some are legitimately seeking asylum, many are not.
I have written two Substacks regarding the southern border (see my links at the end of this article), but I have not focused exclusively on Americans who have been brutally victimized by criminal illegal immigrants. This was a very hard Substack to write, because as I researched additional, recent stories I was overwhelmed with the sheer number of innocent American lives destroyed at the hands of these monsters. And they are monsters: anyone who causes death and destruction, whether foreign or domestic, is a monster.
Rachel Morin’s murderer, Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez is a monster.

Brief Timeline of Martinez-Hernandez’s actions:
JANUARY 2023: Accused of murdering a young woman in El Salvador.
FEBRUARY 2023: Fled to the U.S.
MARCH 2023: Brutally attacked (and sexually assaulted) a 9-year old girl and her mother in a home invasion in Los Angeles. The video below shows him coming out of their home.
AUGUST 2023: Rachel Morin, a 37-year old mother of 5, is found raped and murdered. Morin's body was found naked and “violently assaulted” in a drainage ditch near the Ma and Pa Trail in Bel Air a day after her boyfriend, Richard Tobin, reported her missing when she didn't return from her walk the night before.1
JUNE 14, 2024: Martinez-Hernandez is arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma and charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape. It was difficult to identify him due to Martinez-Hernandez’s lack of a driver’s license, passport, or birth certificate in the US.
Below is a press conference given by Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler of Harford County, MD, regarding the Morin case. Among other salient points, he drops this jaw-dropping sentence: “1800 miles from the southern border and this is the second woman in our county to be killed by an illegal alien.” Video is 1:51.
Martinez-Hernandez, a suspected MS-13 gang member, had been freely roaming ALL OVER the US to do whatever he pleased; probably crossed the border in Texas, committed crimes in LA and Maryland, and was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And no one knew who he was because he and many, many others enter our country like ghosts: no ID’s, no paper trail from their countries of origin, no fingerprints, nothing. Let. That. Sink. In.
Has he killed anyone else? Has he raped anyone else? There is a 10-month gap where we have no idea if he committed other crimes.
Since Biden took office, the number of illegal crossings has skyrocketed. The chart below (with numbers from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website) shows the stark difference between Biden’s numbers and the numbers of Obama’s and Trump’s terms beginning in 2012.
It can be argued that if Biden had just kept in place Trump’s border protection executive actions, we would not see the unprecedented numbers we are seeing now. This chart says it all.

If Martinez-Hernandez’s crime was a one-off, then I would not be writing this Substack, and 2/3 of registered voters—including many Hispanic voters—would not be clamoring for the deportation of illegal immigrants, according to a recent poll cited in Newsweek.2 But, Americans are being victimized regularly by illegal immigrants who are not arriving here truly seeking asylum for fear of their lives but are taking advantage of our porous border and lax laws and wreaking havoc in communities all over.
OTHER RECENT CRIMES AGAINST AMERICAN CITIZENS PERPETRATED BY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS; unfortunately, there were too many to choose from. (If you have a weak constitution, you can bypass the headlines below and continue with the article.)
While there has not been a terrorist attack in our country (that we are aware of) since the border has been flung open, there is still a great possibility that we will experience one or more attacks due to the people who have walked right in from countries that hate us. Special interest aliens “are people from countries identified by the U.S. government as having conditions that promote or protect terrorism or potentially pose some sort of national security threat to the U.S.”
One particularly galling point that I hear echoed by this administration and the mainstream media is that Republicans killed a bipartisan bill that would have addressed concerns with the border. I have two things to say about that:
Biden did not need Congress to close the border; he could have reinstated, three years ago, by executive action, many of Trump’s border policies (that Biden undid) that were working (look at the aforementioned chart)! He finally did sign an executive order recently, but it does not have much teeth; it is infused with many loopholes that can still allow anyone to seek asylum and remain in our country. It is too little too late. Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies, explained the bill in great detail on the Morning Wire podcast, 15:06.
The House passed a much heartier border bill in May 2023 called H.R. 2: Secure The Border Act of 2023—but Democrat Chuck Schumer never brought it to the Senate floor for a vote! And there it continues to languish. https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/2
Why would Biden allow so many to cross over so freely, essentially during his entire presidency? I believe it is to garner more “blue” representation in Congress, via the census, as these immigrants flood our cities and municipalities AND to ensure that they be allowed to vote—whether through amnesty or some other concoction.
We must not allow this.
Buckle up: It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Really nice work. This problem makes me physically ill. You don't want to be within arm's reach if you try to pass this off as a minor problem. Tell that to the victims. Good on ya!
I agree it’s going to get much worse unfortunately. If the taxpayer funded government assistance programs for the illegals would be stopped most of them would self deport. Red states need to hold the foreigners accountable for their crimes and not be lenient on them. They should be afraid to commit crimes. I’m hopeful that over the majority of the illegals will be deported. They don’t belong here.
